LOCAL football team Cwmamman United have been shortlisted for Sports Club or Team of the Year in the South Wales Community Awards 2025.
The Awards night is on October 23 at Rodney Parade, Newport when the winners will be announced.
The Awards recognise organisations and individuals who have made a significant contribution to their communities. They cover a diverse range of categories from best GP practices, best schools, to best volunteers of the year.
Lance Williams, Cwmamman Utd Chairman said: “We are delighted to be recognised for our role in the Community. We are a volunteer led group and a key aim has always been to benefit our community in as many ways as we can.
“While looking to improve health and well being for adults and children through our football activities.
“We also try and focus on improving local facilities, helping community support organisations and local groups and undertake fund raising for local individual cases.”
