A DISPERSAL order has been authorised for the Trostre Retail and Pemberton Park areas of Llanelli, giving officers extra powers to tackle antisocial behaviour.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the order was brought in following an increase in antisocial behaviour over the past week.
The notice took effect at 12:00pm on Saturday (Jan 17) and will remain in place until 12:00am on Monday, January 19.
Under the order, officers can direct anyone who is causing — or is likely to cause — harassment, alarm or distress to leave the area. Police also have powers to seize property they suspect is being used to cause antisocial behaviour.
Anyone who refuses to comply is committing a criminal offence and may be arrested.
The dispersal order covers:
- Trostre Retail Park, Llanelli
- Tesco Stores, Trostre, Llanelli
- McDonalds, Llanelli
- Parc Pemberton, Llanelli
- Morrisons Store, Llanelli
- Premier Inn, Llandafen Rd, Llanelli
Members of the public are urged to report antisocial behaviour to police online, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 101. In an emergency, always dial 999.
