PART OF INCIDENT TOOK PLACE AT AMMANFORD BUS STATION
DYFED-POWYS Police is appealing for witnesses following a report of harassment involving an older man and a young woman on public transport between Carmarthen and Upper Brynamman.
The incident occurred on Wednesday (Feb 26) during the early evening on the number 124 and 129 buses. It is believed part of the incident also took place at Ammanford bus station.
Officers say members of the public stepped in after seeing a man harass a young woman. The suspect is described as a black male, between 5ft 11in and 6ft tall. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, a black t-shirt, blue denim jeans with a belt, and orange underwear visible above the waistband.
A 50-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail.

Investigators are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the events or has any information that could assist the investigation.
In particular, officers would like to speak to:
- A woman who boarded the 129 bus outside Barnardo’s in Ammanford
- Two young men who were at Ammanford bus station
- A couple with a baby who also assisted the victim at the bus station
