THE MUCH-ANTICIPATED Wales Airshow is set to soar once again over Swansea Bay on Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7, 2024. With a weekend packed full of exhilarating aerial displays and a vibrant array of ground activities, the event promises to be a spectacular experience for all ages. Best of all, admission is completely free!
Over the two days, some of the world’s best pilots will take to the skies, performing breathtaking aerial acrobatics against the stunning backdrop of Swansea Bay. Jets, helicopters, and historic aircraft will showcase their capabilities, providing an awe-inspiring spectacle that draws over 200,500 visitors each year.
Aerial Extravaganza
The airshow will feature an impressive lineup of displays, including:
RAF Red Arrows: Supported by DS Automobiles at FRF Motors Swansea, the Red Arrows are renowned for their precision and thrilling formations.
Typhoon: The Eurofighter Typhoon, with its powerful performance, will captivate audiences.
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight: Paying homage to the bravery of wartime pilots, this historic flight will be showcased on both days.
Team Raven: Known for their close formation aerobatics, Team Raven will perform on both days.
Tigers Parachute Display Team: Adding a different dynamic, the Tigers will perform parachute jumps on both days.
Wildcat Helicopter: Demonstrating the versatility and agility of modern helicopters.
AeroSuperBatics Wing Walkers: Thrilling wing walkers performing daring stunts mid-air.
Yak 50, Jet Pitts G-JPIT, Norwegian Vampire, Republic P-47 Thunderbolt: Historic and aerobatic aircraft showcasing their unique features.
Harvard G-NWHF and Supermarine Seafire: Featured on Saturday.

Wales Airshow fans seeking an elevated experience can now buy tickets for the event’s Flight Deck.
Wales Airshow is free – but tickets are now on sale for the hugely popular Flight Deck, supported by Travel House.
Right at the heart of the display area, this relaxed, fenced off and secure seating zone guarantees prime, unobstructed views of the air displays. Open from 11am-6pm on both days, there are tables, chairs, a marquee providing cover plus the option to purchase drinks and food in the same area.
The excitement isn’t limited to the skies. Swansea Promenade will be transformed into a bustling hub of activities from 10am to 6pm each day.
On the ground, there will be a variety of family-friendly activities such as displays, the military village, food and drink outlets and live music to enjoy.
Last year’s event was a resounding success, with standout performances from the RAF Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and the AeroSuperBatics Wing Walkers. The event saw incredible participation and engagement, setting high expectations for this year’s show.
