A TOP-QUALITY summer of Swansea events continues this week with three high-profile music events in Singleton Park.
The venue – fast developing a reputation for hosting top-class acts – is due to greet James Arthur, Classic Ibiza Swansea and Let’s Rock Wales from this Thursday (note: July 18) to Saturday.
Swansea Council is working with the shows’ promoters to ensure that ticket buyers have a great time and that disruption is minimised for local residents and motorists.
There’s just one road closure – part of Brynmill Lane – on Saturday.
Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said, “We’re delighted that Singleton Park has attracted more big-name music as our fantastic summer of events continues.
“This weekend’s acts add to a growing list of world-class performers who’ve played the park in recent years; they include Taylor Swift, Stereophonics, Madness, Paul Weller and Nile Rodgers.
“The council wants Swansea people to have great events on their doorstep and this weekend’s music follows on from the 2024 World Triathlon Para Series Swansea, another incredible Wales Airshow and the superb IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea.”
Chart-topping UK singer/songwriter James Arthur brings his UK summer show to Singleton Park this Thursday.

He promises a night of dance and song as he brings his chart hits to the live stage. They include Impossible, Say You Won’t Let Go and You’re Nobody Until Somebody Loves You.
On Friday, Classic Ibiza Swansea will see iconic dance anthems performed under the stars.
A 32-piece live orchestra will be accompanied by DJs and vocalists. Together, they’ll reimagine some of the biggest dance hits of the past 30 years, including the likes of Insomnia, Sandstorm and Born Slippy.

On Saturday, Let’s Rock Wales is a retro music festival making its first visit to Swansea.
It’s due to be headlined by reggae legends UB40 Feat. Ali Campbell in a line-up which also includes Level 42, The Boomtown Rats, Go West, Jason Donovan, Nick Kershaw, The Christians, Jaki Graham and Musical Youth.
The only road closure is due to take place on Saturday when Brynmill Lane will be closed from Oystermouth Road to the Bryn Road roundabout from 4-11.30pm.
There’ll be temporary parking restrictions from 4pm on Thursday to 11.30pm on Saturday. They’ll take place on Gower Road – 200m either side of the park entrance -and on De La Beche Road, 50m either side of the school entrance.
