SWANSEA women are invited to a menopause cafe at The Bistro, LC2, on Thursday (September 11) at 7pm to help shape the support Freedom Leisure Swansea offers for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause.
Hosted by women’s health expert Faye Chapman, the event provides a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and influence local menopause services offered by Freedom Leisure Swansea, the network of Swansea’s public leisure facilities.
Faye, founder of This is Coaching, draws on her extensive knowledge and years of coaching women across the globe in hormone balance, health and fitness, confidence rebuilding, and recovery from burnout.
Faye said: “After years of travelling the world and working with a wide range of women, it was striking how many are left misinformed or unsupported when it comes to menopause.
“Now that I am back in my hometown, I am proud to be working with Freedom Leisure to build something meaningful for Swansea.
“No gimmicks, no sales pitches, just a genuine opportunity for women to connect, share their experiences, and help shape a programme that reflects their real needs, not assumptions.
“The menopause cafe is just the starting point. Future support will be co-created with the women who take part, shaped entirely by their feedback and priorities.
“This could include group sessions on nutrition for female health and menopause, specific fitness classes at Swansea’s leisure centres, or coffee mornings that offer peer support alongside learning opportunities.
“Whatever comes next will be rooted in their voices, and I’m excited to work alongside them and Freedom Leisure on this new chapter for women’s health and fitness in Swansea.”
As a thank you, everyone who attends will receive a complimentary gift.
