The business was awarded at a ceremony in London on June 1 for its pioneering, sustainable soil remediation services. The awards recognise businesses from across the globe that have put their corporate social responsibility first and brought forward meaningful change.
Gavin Griffiths Group’s soil remediation technology, which launched last year, is a UK first of its kind. It uses high temperature steam to treat contaminated soil. Unlike traditional soil treatments that use harsh chemicals over a long timescale, our containerised soil steam unit provides rapid treatment and has demonstrated zero regrowth of Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and other pathogens in soil which allows the soil to be safely reused. This protects biodiversity, reduces landfill reliance and lowers carbon emissions.
