Summer colours beginning to bloom at National Trust Cymru locations near you

AS WE wave goodbye to May and hurtle into the summer season, many of National Trust Cymru’s special gardens and places are already putting on a spectacular show of fragrance and colour.

In north Wales, you’ll find Bodnant Garden bathed in roses galore while Plas Newydd House and Garden on the shores of the Menai Strait is a riot of rhododendrons.

From billowing herbaceous borders buzzing with nature, to tropical hot beds of dazzling summer colour, the 18th century walled garden at Llanerchaeron and intimate garden rooms at Dyffryn Gardens are big standouts in mid/south Wales.

Whilst the temperatures may not have us quite reaching for buckets and spades just yet, now is a perfect time to visit your nearest National Trust Cymru place for that dose of nature-inspired happiness ahead of the school summer holidays.
