A NEWPORT man, who ran a drugs line supplying cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis and codeine, has been jailed.
Between July and September last year, Louis Gale sent out almost 7,000 messages offering to supply a variety of drugs.
Now Gale, 25, has been sentenced to two years and nine months imprisonment after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday 4 July.
He was known to have travelled to locations across Newport and the UK as part of his illegal activities.
Officers arrested Gale in December 2023 and, after a subsequent warrant at a residential address in Newport, seized mobile phones and drugs related paraphernalia.
He was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, concerned in the supply of ecstasy, concerned in the supply of a controlled Class B – cannabis, and concerned in the supply of Class B drug – codeine.
Police Constable Jones, the officer in the case, said:
“Officers found drug related messages on a mobile phone belonging to Gale where it was evident that he was offering to supply a variety of Class A and B drugs.
“Gale has been handed a custodial sentence which will give him time to reflect on his actions and we hope it will deter others from taking part in this illegal activity.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to crack down on the production, sale and supply of illegal drugs that bring misery to communities and can devastate lives.
