SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is backing a group helping to promote tourism in North Wales.
Mr Rowlands, Chair of the Welsh Parliament’s Cross Party Group on Tourism recently met with members of the Clwydian Range Tourism Group at the popular Wernog Woods, near Ruthin.
He said: “I was delighted to once again meet up with members of this active association of small, rural tourism businesses in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding National Beauty, AONB.
“I particularly enjoyed the venue, the idyllic woodland setting of Wernog Woods which offers traditional and contemporary craft courses for all the family.
“I was very impressed with what I saw and delighted to hear all about the Clwydian Range Tourism Group which continues to promote the beauty and prosperity of the area.

“We are so lucky as we are blessed in North Wales with so many different attractions for tourists, from beautiful beaches and coastline to mountains and of course, scenic countryside. Wernog Woods is a real gem, located in an Area of Outstanding Beauty right in the heart of the Clwydian Range in North East Wales and an excellent facility.”
The Clwydian Range Tourism Group was founded 20 years ago by a passionate group of volunteers all with micro tourism businesses based in rural locations in the Clwydian Range area.
Members provide that point of support for those who have to operate alone – the group use each other as a sounding lock to fill the gap of isolation!
Together, they present as one voice in order to help steer decisions, be included in legislation making and to make their existence count.
