SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has been finding out more about new affordable homes being built in Denbigh.

Mr Rowlands was recently invited to look around the new development next to Ysgol Pendref on Gwaenynog Road.

He said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to be shown around the site and see for myself what sort of quality homes are being built in Denbigh by Adra.

“It was impressive to see how the development is progressing and how many people have already moved into their new houses.

“It was also great to have the chance to speak with Adra’s Sion Hughes, Director of Policy and Delivery and Owen Bracegirdle, Senior Project Manager and hear all about their future plans.”

Adra which provides quality homes in North Wales, is currently developing its largest development of affordable homes to date with 110 homes.

49 of the properties will be for social rent with, 31 being intermediate rent units and 30 being market rent properties and the entire development includes a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses.

Over the last 10 years Adra has significantly increased the number of homes it provides and during 2024 completed its 1,000th new home, providing homes for over 18,000 people across more than 7,400 properties in North Wales.
