A WOMAN has died and a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident at a property in Cefn Cribwr.
Police were called just after 9:15pm on Friday (April 18) to reports of concern for the welfare of two people at an address on Bryn Terrace.
On arrival, officers found a 48-year-old woman who was confirmed dead at the scene.
A 56-year-old man from Pyle, also found inside the property, was detained and arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Lianne Rees said: “We are continuing to carry out inquiries into the death, which is being treated as suspicious. However, at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the woman who has died.”
The investigation is ongoing.
