A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a stabbing in Rhyl, North Wales Police have confirmed.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon (April 26) during the final weekend of the Easter holidays, drawing large crowds to the promenade after two Wales Air Ambulance helicopters landed near the seafront.

Police said a 22-year-old man was stabbed on Princes Street at around 3:18pm.

He was flown to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged, with his injuries described as not life-threatening.
