SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, is backing a free one day conference for business professionals across Wrexham.
Mr Rowlands, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Transport and Infrastructure is urging local businesses to attend ‘Elevate your Business in Wrexham’ being held at Bangor-on-Dee racecourse later this month.
He said: “I am always keen to promote and encourage businesses to take advantage of any support which ultimately helps them to prosper and it is great to see this event being held once again following its success in 2024.
“I am really pleased to see inspiring events like this which will give local businesses the opportunity to find out more about how to grow and be more successful.
“As Chair of the Senedd’s Cross-Party Group on Tourism I am delighted to see Wrexham continuing to be one of the destinations of choice when visiting North Wales as this is good news for local businesses and the economy.”
Wrexham Council is organising ‘Elevate Your Business in Wrexham’ at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse on Friday, September 19 from 9:30am until 5pm.
With a focus on ambition, opportunity and confidence – three things that define Wrexham right now, this year’s conference is poised to be the flagship event for entrepreneurs, business leaders, and forward-thinking professionals in Wrexham.
Bringing together thought leaders, industry experts, and local trailblazers for a full day of networking, learning, and inspiration, the conference will offer fresh insights, practical tools, and inspiring connections to help your business grow, adapt, and thrive in a changing world.
Speakers at this year’s conference include Martin McCourt, former CEO of Dyson, and Linda Moir, who managed event services at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
You’ll also hear about big projects like the Flintshire and Wrexham Investment Zone, the Wrexham Gateway regeneration programme and the City of Culture 2029 bid.
Councillor Nigel Williams, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member for Economy, Business and Tourism, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to come together with other local businesses to network and share ideas, and it’s all part of our work to create the conditions for local business growth.
“Just like last year, we’ll have a fantastic line-up of speakers, including global thought-leaders and industry experts, as well as local trailblazers who are taking the business world by storm.
“Places are limited, so sign-up now and make sure you’re part of this inspiring business event.”
