YESTERDAY (April 22) marked Stephen Lawrence Day, a moment to reflect on progress made and the work still required to build a fairer society.
To mark the occasion, Police and Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin has reaffirmed his commitment to the priorities set out in his Police and Crime Plan, focused on building a fair and effective criminal justice system for all.
PCC Dunbobbin said: “Supporting Stephen Lawrence Day is about recognising how far we’ve come, acknowledging where change is still needed, and ensuring the next generation can build their futures on strong foundations.
“This year’s theme, Every Future Needs a Foundation, highlights why trust, equality and opportunity must be central to our criminal justice system.
“I’m proud to support Stephen Lawrence Day and to continue working towards a fair and effective criminal justice system for communities across North Wales.”
