Fundraising effort will help cover the cost of four lifesaving emergency missions across Wales
EDUC8 Group has raised almost £14,000 for Wales Air Ambulance, helping to fund the charity’s lifesaving emergency service across the country.
The training provider, which includes Educ8 Training, ISA Training, Aspire 2Be and Haddon Training, raised £13,927.15 during its 2025–26 fundraising campaign – enough to cover the cost of four combined air and road missions.
The achievement comes as Wales Air Ambulance prepares to mark its 25th anniversary in 2026. The charity relies entirely on public donations to raise £13 million every year to keep its helicopters flying and rapid response vehicles on the road.
Educ8 Group, which delivers fully funded apprenticeships and training to organisations across Wales, has been one of the charity’s corporate supporters during its fundraising campaign.
Josh Rees, Senior Business Development Manager for Educ8 Training, praised the efforts of staff across the organisation.
He said: “This achievement is a testament to the generosity, enthusiasm and commitment of everyone across Educ8 Group.
“From taking part in fundraising events to making donations and supporting colleagues, every contribution has helped us reach this incredible total.
“We are immensely proud to have supported Wales Air Ambulance and to have played a small part in helping them continue their lifesaving work across Wales.”
Wales Air Ambulance operates a consultant-led service, delivering hospital-level critical care directly to patients at the scene of serious incidents before, where necessary, transferring them to the most appropriate specialist hospital.
Working in partnership with the NHS through the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS), its crews can provide advanced treatments including anaesthesia, blood transfusions and minor surgical procedures before a patient reaches hospital.
As a pan-Wales service, its crews respond to emergencies across the country, regardless of where they are based.
At the start of the partnership, Educ8 Group staff visited the charity’s Cardiff heliport to meet crew members and gain an insight into the work carried out by the service.
Ann Nicholas, Customer Account Director at Educ8, said: “Seeing the helicopter up close, the kit checks and the urgency of the operation really brought home the vital service that the air ambulance provides.
“Both our values and focus on community aligned and resulted in a fantastic partnership which our whole team got behind.”
Staff organised a wide range of fundraising events throughout the year, including a charity golf day at Whitchurch Golf Club, Halloween activities, Christmas raffles, bake sales and step challenges.
Abi Pearce, Corporate Relationships Manager for Wales Air Ambulance, thanked the company for its support.
She said: “We are so grateful to the entire Educ8 team for their incredible support throughout their charity partnership. They have taken an active interest in the work of our lifesaving service, including spending time at our base in Cardiff and meeting our crew.
“Corporate partnerships are making a lifesaving difference to the people of Wales.
“They play an invaluable role; through their fundraising, they help us respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They keep our fleet operational, enabling us to deliver hospital-level care at the scene and reunite patients with their families.”
She added that businesses interested in supporting the charity through corporate partnerships are encouraged to get in touch to find out how they can contribute to its lifesaving work.
