A BRECON-BASED esports club has entered one of the UK’s leading Armed Forces esports competitions.
S.E.A. Dragons, founded in 2024, are competing in the BFBS Pro League, a Rocket League competition run by British Forces Broadcasting Service Esports. The league brings together teams connected to the UK Armed Forces and wider defence community, with the previous season carrying a prize pool of £10,500.
Many teams involved are housed within, sponsored by or closely linked to military and defence organisations. S.E.A. Dragons appear to be one of the only clubs competing from outside any typical structure, while still representing Brecon, a town with a long and proud Armed Forces connection.
For the club, entering the BFBS Pro League is another opportunity to show that esports pathways can be built from Brecon and Powys. S.E.A. Dragons have already won back-to-back Welsh Esports League titles and have also competed in UK and European events.

The club’s Rocket League roster for the competition is Lyon, Ritzy, MrSpud777 and Kiza990, with Connor “Faizye” Chittock as coach and
manager.
Connor Chittock said: “We’re really looking forward to the rest of the competition. The team has already shown that we’re capable of pushing towards LAN qualification, which is the main goal for us now.
“For us, it’s a great opportunity to have S.E.A. Dragons representing Brecon and Powys in a competition connected to the Armed Forces and wider defence community.
“We know we are not a traditional military or defence team, but that makes it even more meaningful. It gives us a chance to represent the area, show what can be built from Powys, and hopefully encourage more people locally to get involved in esports.”
The competition includes four qualifiers, with teams earning points towards qualification for the LAN finals in London this September.
S.E.A. Dragons will continue competing over the coming weeks, with selected matches expected to be streamed online.
