SWEET EDUCATION welcomed secondary school partners from across Wales to The Future is Sweet, a strategic engagement and recognition event held at Ocean Park House.
Bringing together educators and partners from across Wales, the event celebrated shared success, recognised outstanding achievements, and outlined an ambitious vision for the future of educational partnership.
Designed as both a celebration and a strategic forum, The Future is Sweet reflected on Sweet Education’s journey while providing partners with insight into the organisation’s future direction. The event reinforced Sweet Education’s commitment to working collaboratively with schools to create positive outcomes for learners and strengthen educational partnerships across Wales.
A highlight of the afternoon was the inaugural Centres of Excellence Awards, established to formally recognise excellence, reward commitment, and celebrate the exceptional partnerships that underpin Sweet Education’s work across Wales.
Eight schools were recognised for their outstanding contributions across a range of categories:
- High Standards of IQA – Corpus Christi High School, Cardiff
- Community Impact & Inclusion – Ysgol Tir Morfa, Rhyl
- Digital Leadership in Education – Ysgol y Strade, Llanelli
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement – Llangatwg Community Comprehensive School, Neath
- Growth and Commitment – Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg, Cardiff
- Partnership and Communication – The Bishop of Llandaff Church in Wales High School, Cardiff
- Learner Engagement and Achievement – West Monmouth School, Torfaen
- Administration and Compliance – Cefn Hengoed Community School, Swansea
Each award recognised a different aspect of excellence, from innovation and quality assurance to learner engagement, community impact and effective partnership working. Together, the winners exemplify the dedication, professionalism and collaborative spirit that continue to strengthen educational opportunities for learners across Wales.
Alongside the awards presentation, guests heard about Sweet Education’s strategic vision for the future, exploring new opportunities for collaboration, innovation and growth while reflecting on the milestones that have shaped the organisation’s journey to date.
