AN ELDERLY man was taken to hospital after being assaulted in Llandrindod Wells, police have said.
Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident, which happened at Rock Park at around 6:15pm on Wednesday, April 1.
The victim, a man in his eighties, suffered a facial injury which required hospital treatment.
A 21-year-old man from Newtown was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the assault, or who has information that could help the investigation, to get in touch.
