A COUNTY councillor from Llanbister has been appointed the new Chair of Powys County Council.
Cllr Geoff Morgan, who represents the Ithon Valley ward, was elected chair at council’s annual general meeting on Thursday, May 14, succeeding Cllr William Powell, local member for Talgarth ward.
Elected Vice Chair of the council at the same meeting was Cllr Danny Bebb, local member for Churchstoke, and Cllr Peter James, local member for Llanwrtyd Wells, was elected Assistant Vice Chair.
