PREPARATIONS are gathering pace for the 2026 Welsh National Tractor Road Run, with this year’s event set against the stunning backdrop of the Llŷn Peninsula.
The run will take place on Sunday (May 31), starting from Llanbedrog near Pwllheli, and is expected to draw enthusiasts from across Wales and beyond. Organisers, the Llŷn and Eifionydd Tractor Enthusiasts, have been hard at work mapping out a scenic route that showcases breathtaking views across both Cardigan Bay and Caernarfon Bay.

This year’s event will support two important causes — the Wales Air Ambulance and the Alaw Cancer Ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd (Awyr Las) — giving participants the opportunity to raise funds while enjoying one of the most picturesque runs on the calendar.
The starting point at Crugan Farm offers an ideal base for the event. Located just outside Llanbedrog on the Cardigan Bay coast, the working dairy farm has diversified into a popular holiday destination, with facilities including a holiday park, touring caravan pitches, glamping accommodation and cottages. Visitors can also enjoy the on-site farm shop, which sells fresh milk, milkshakes, gelato ice cream and free-range eggs.
A short walk from the farm leads to the National Trust-owned beach, renowned for its colourful beach huts, while the nearby village of Llanbedrog offers pubs, a beach bistro, art gallery and essential local amenities.

Organisers say the site provides ample space for participants, including parking for tractors and HGVs, overnight facilities, catering and toilets.
The entry fee is £20 for applications received before the closing date of Tuesday (May 20), which includes a souvenir memento. Entries will still be accepted on the day, priced at £25.
