Businesses come together to deliver free event to improve the health of local community

BRIGHTER BEING wins Best Under 25’s Business Start-Up with Business Wales – delivering preventative health workshops at Swansea University, Atradius Credit Insurance, and within local communities.

Brighter Being is collaborating with Coffi Kitoko in Mamhilad Park Estate, Pontypool to deliver a free evening of learning and life-changing preventative health solutions.

Founder of Brighter Being, Ethan Thomas, is a nutritionist and preventative health enthusiast – helping tackle the rise in chronic disease among working-aged individuals.

Ethan said: “Our nation is facing the biggest health challenges we have ever seen, and it’s taking its toll on people, communities, and the NHS.”

Currently in the UK:

  • The number of people dying from cardiovascular disease under the age of 50 has increased by 18% in the last four years, killing 420 people each week.
  • Diabetes rates have doubled in the last 15 years, now costing the NHS 9% of its annual budget.
  • Alzheimer’s cases among individuals under 65 have increased by 69% since 2014.

Brighter Being outlines cutting-edge research highlighting how up to 80% of chronic disease and premature death could be prevented through simple lifestyle modifications.

Brighter Being sessions deliver a powerful insight into the world of preventative health, explaining the reasons behind the surge in disease rates, why so many people struggle to achieve a healthy body weight, and simple, effective, take-home strategies proven to promote health and prevent disease.

Brighter Being offers support through a mobile app, full of healthy recipes that are quick and easy – making healthy eating realistic and achievable. The recipes focus on including nutrients essential to our daily diet, nutrients people aren’t getting enough of. Currently in the UK, only 9% of people meet the recommended daily intake of fibre, putting them at higher risk of heart disease and cancers.

Ethan also works with clients individually, tackling challenges such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and fatty liver disease – helping clients achieve remission.

Come along to Coffi Kitoko, Mamhilad Park Estate, Pontypool NP4 0HZ on Monday (November 17) 5-6:30pm to learn more about protecting the health of yourself and your family.
