The popular S4C wedding series Priodas Pum Mil is set to return, marking ten series of helping couples across Wales celebrate their big day on a budget of just £5000.
Produced by Boom Cymru TV Ltd, the Welsh language programme has arranged almost 60 weddings since first airing in 2016. As it reaches this major milestone, the production team is now inviting couples from all parts of Wales who are planning a 2026 wedding to apply to take part.
The format sees engaged couples hand over responsibility for organising their wedding to family and friends, who must plan the entire celebration within the £5000 budget. They are supported throughout the process by experienced presenters Emma Walford and Trystan EllisMorris, who guide loved ones through the challenges of planning a wedding under pressure.
Over the years, the series has featured weddings in locations including Aberporth, Llanllyfni, Pwllheli, Ammanford, Swansea and Bangor, and the team is keen to hear from couples in every corner of Wales for the upcoming series.
Emma Walford said the show has delivered some unforgettable moments.
“Every wedding has been unique and memorable, but some challenges have really stood out over the years,” she said. “We have seen a wedding in Vegas, one on the summit of Yr Wyddfa, an underground ceremony, a helicopter proposal and even a beach wedding broadcast live on S4C.”
She added that the team remains open to all kinds of ideas. “We have seen everything from Wild West and Italian themed weddings to football, darts and farming celebrations, and much more.”
Presenter Trystan EllisMorris said the series has been about far more than just weddings.
“It really has been a privilege to meet everyone who has taken part over the years, and it has been a lot of fun welcoming some special guests along the way,” he said. “We have had appearances from George Hughes from Cmon Midffild, the pirate Ben Dant, and even Black Lace and a Meat Loaf tribute act.”
Reflecting on the milestone, he added: “It has been a decade of love, laughter, tears, friendship and exploration, along with a fair bit of haggling. We cannot wait to see what the future holds. Here is to the next ten.”
