FIFTEEN charged after coordinated day of action targeting wanted offenders
South Wales Police arrested twenty-four people during a coordinated crackdown across three counties, as officers targeted individuals wanted in connection with a range of offences.
The operation, carried out on Wednesday (March 26), focused on Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil, with officers moving to detain suspects linked to ongoing investigations and outstanding matters.
Police confirmed that those arrested were wanted for a variety of offences, including domestic abuse, controlling and coercive behaviour, theft, harassment, shoplifting, driving offences, and assaulting an emergency worker.
Of the twenty-four people detained, fifteen have since been charged.

Chief Inspector Christine Edmunds, from the Mid-Glamorgan command unit, said the operation demonstrated the force’s ongoing commitment to tackling crime across South Wales.
She said: “This operation is just one example of the continuing work we are doing to pursue criminals and bring them to justice. I’m pleased to see the results of the action and thank the teams involved for their continued hard work.”
South Wales Police said further enforcement activity will continue as part of efforts to disrupt offending and improve safety in communities across the region.
