VodafoneThree signs three-year extension to partnership with Get Connected

VODAPHONETHREE has signed a three-year extension to its partnership with mobile phone retailer Get Connected, securing the continued presence of the Vodafone and Three brands in stores across Wales and beyond.

Announced on Thursday (Jan 8), the agreement makes VodafoneThree the exclusive mobile network operator in more than 46 Get Connected stores across Wales, the Midlands and the South West.

The extension ensures customers will continue to have access to handset and SIM-only contracts from both Vodafone and Three, alongside in-store support for existing customers throughout the regions.

Over time, customers are expected to benefit from VodafoneThree’s planned £11 billion investment programme to build what the company describes as the UK’s best mobile network. This includes eliminating 16,500km of mobile ‘not spots’ — an area almost the size of Wales — and delivering 5G Standalone coverage to 99.96% of the UK population by 2034.

In Wales, the partnership will also continue to support around 100 jobs within Get Connected stores.

Jon Shaw, Consumer Operations Director at VodafoneThree, said: “Our partnership with Get Connected has gone from strength to strength, and this new exclusivity agreement is central to our retail presence in Wales.

“Working with trusted retail partners helps us bring both Vodafone and Three brands to more people, offering customers greater choice, improved value and access to the UK’s best network.”

Damian Cole, Chief Executive Officer of Get Connected, added: “I am pleased to confirm that we have signed a new three-year agreement. This partnership gives us access to a wider range of products and provides long-term security for the business over the next three years.”
