Defendant fined following guilty plea
MAGISTRATES on Wednesday (Feb 4) heard how an assault offence was committed in Aberystwyth earlier this year.
Owain Griffiths, 36, of Portland Street, Aberystwyth, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court in connection with an incident that took place on January 15, 2026.
The court heard that Griffiths assaulted another person by beating. He pleaded guilty to the offence at the hearing.
Magistrates fined Griffiths £150 and ordered him to pay £85 in prosecution costs along with a £60 surcharge. A collection order was made to allow time for payment.
