Aberystwyth man ordered to pay compensation
A SHOP theft committed in Aberystwyth last year came before magistrates on Wednesday (Feb 11).
Daniel Rogers, 40, 51 Great Darkgate Street, Aberystwyth, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court charged with theft from a shop, contrary to section 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968.
The court heard that on October 13, 2025, he stole a cushion to the value of £21 from Next at Parc Y Llyn Retail Park.
Rogers entered a guilty plea on February 11 and was convicted the same day.
Magistrates ordered him to pay £21 in compensation, together with prosecution costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
