Holiday Park allegations sent to Crown
ALLEGATIONS of unlawful sexual touching of a 14-year-old at a Ceredigion holiday park have been sent to the Crown Court.
Trevor Argent, 64, of 4 Maryhill Road, Runcorn, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, contrary to section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
The court heard that the allegations relate to incidents said to have taken place between April 13 and April 19, 2025, at a holiday park in New Quay.
It is alleged that during that period he intentionally engaged in unlawful sexual touching of a 14-year-old girl without her consent and without reasonably believing that she consented. The charges relate to a number of separate incidents over several days.
No pleas were entered at the magistrates’ court.
Magistrates sent the case to Swansea Crown Court for trial under Section 51(1) and (2)(b) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
Argent was remanded on conditional bail. The conditions prohibit him from contacting specified individuals directly or indirectly, and from having unsupervised contact with any person under the age of 18 without prior written approval from Children’s Social Care, except where unavoidable in general daily life.
The next hearing, a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, is listed for March 13, 2026 at at Swansea Crown Court.
