COLWYN BAY Crematorium has once again chosen to support Marie Curie Conwy through its Recycling of Metals Scheme, continuing a long-standing partnership that has made a real difference to people in the local community.
Over the past 10 years, Marie Curie has received a total of £24,444 through the scheme, helping to fund vital care and support for people living with terminal illness, as well as their families and loved ones.
Victoria Hardy, Senior Community Fundraiser for Wales at Marie Curie, said: “We are thrilled to have once again been chosen as the beneficiary for this wonderful donation.
“The funds received will enable Marie Curie to continue providing vital care and support to people who are experiencing death, dying and bereavement. Support like this makes a genuine difference to families when they need us most.”
Marie Curie provides expert palliative and end-of-life care across Wales, supporting people to live as well as possible for as long as possible, and ensuring they are not alone at the end of life.
Andy Barlow, Crematorium Technician said: “We are always delighted to be able to support the local Conwy Fundraising group for Marie Curie.
“Knowing that this donation will be used to help provide end of life care and support and important bereavement support to people and their families is very close to our hearts, and we feel proud to know that our donation supports the local work of Marie Curie.”
Marie Curie would like to extend its sincere thanks to Colwyn Bay Crematorium for their continued generosity and commitment to supporting local communities.
