Conwy County Borough to receive UK Government’s Pride in Place funding

Conwy Council's Coed Pella offices

CONWY County Borough has been chosen as one of nine areas in the UK to receive up to £20 million over the next 10 years through the UK Government’s Pride in Place Programme.

This programme aims to support regeneration and community resilience.

Councillors now need to decide which neighbourhood will benefit from this funding. To make this decision they will look at specific criteria, including:

  • How many people live in the area
  • The level of socio‑economic need
  • Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation

Next week, the Finance & Resources Scrutiny Committee and the Cabinet will review a report with all the details before making a recommendation.
