Sam Rowlands MS welcomes news of first class ranking for a North Wales University

SAM ROWLANDS, Member of the Welsh Parliament for North Wales, has expressed his delight at the continued success of Wrexham University.

Mr Rowlands was commenting after the university received a prestigious First-Class rating in the People & Planet University League.

He said: “I am always pleased to hear about the achievements of this popular university and absolutely delighted with this news.

“Wrexham University continues to go from strength to strength and it is great to see it being recognised for its environmental and ethical performance and scoring 100% in two key areas.

“I would like to congratulate everyone at the university for all their efforts and for helping to continue to put Wrexham firmly on the higher education map.”

Lynda Powell, Executive Director of Operations, said: “We’re incredibly proud to see Wrexham University recognised for its commitment to sustainability and ethical standards.

“Achieving a First-Class ranking in the People & Planet University League is a testament to the dedication of our staff and students, and it reinforces our determination to continue embedding these values across everything we do.”
