WREXHAM Tennis & Padel Centre has published its Annual Report for 2024–2025, marking a significant milestone following a year of transformation for the charity.
The report highlights a period of major progress, including the completion of a £2.5 million redevelopment funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, alongside improvements in governance, reporting and programme delivery.
For the first time, the Centre has been able to provide a detailed overview of its activity and engagement, recording over 10,000 court bookings across the year and nearly 1200 participants on its coaching programme. The report also outlines the introduction of improved systems to better capture and measure the charity’s impact going forward.
Chair Kim McCall said: “This report represents an important step forward for the charity. Over the past year we have not only transformed our facilities, but also strengthened how we operate, measure and report our impact.
“While there is more to do, we are now in a much stronger position to demonstrate the difference that Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre makes to our community.”
The report also highlights the Centre’s growing community engagement, including details of 19 school roadshows, open days with nearly 500 visitors, and expanded participation programmes across tennis, padel and other racket sports.
An Annual General Meeting will take place tomorrow (April 14) at 6:00pm at Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre, with members of the public invited to attend and hear more about the charity’s progress and future plans.
Kim McCall will also be stepping down as Chair at the AGM, having overseen a period of significant change for the organisation.
She added: “I am incredibly proud of what has been achieved during my time on the Board. The progress made over the past year has been substantial, and I look forward to seeing the Centre continue to develop under new leadership.”
