FAMILIES supported by Action for Children gathered for an evening of festive joy at the charity’s Park House service in Sandfields, where a wonderful light show in the garden was created for the children with heartwarming carols, and seasonal treats making for a magical festive atmosphere.
The event featured a beautiful carol performance by the talented Presto Mixed Choir, filling the air with classic Christmas melodies. Guests enjoyed mince pies and warm drinks as they admired the dazzling lights that transformed Park House into a winter wonderland.

Adding to the festive spirit, the Queen Bees community group attended and generously donated a large number of selection boxes for the children, ensuring every young person had a sweet surprise to take home. Local councillors also joined the celebration, showing their support for the vital work Action for Children does in the community.

Sarah Jenkins, Registered Manager at Park House, said: “This evening was all about bringing people together and spreading joy. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces and the sense of community in the room was truly special.
“We’re so grateful to the Queen Bees for their generosity and to everyone who came along to make this such a memorable night.”

The event was a wonderful opportunity for families, staff, and supporters to connect and celebrate the season, reinforcing Action for Children’s commitment to creating safe, happy, and supportive environments for children and young people.
