NOMINATIONS for the Bridgend Unsung Heroes Awards 2026, offering residents the chance to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution of volunteers across Bridgend County are closing soon!
The awards shine a spotlight on individuals and groups who give their time, skills and energy to support local communities, charities and organisations — often quietly and without recognition. There are seven award categories this year, ensuring volunteers of all ages and roles can be celebrated. These include Young Volunteer (under 25), Trustee/Leadership Volunteer and the Long-Service Award.

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, June 5, during Volunteers’ Week, a national celebration recognising the vital role volunteers play in strengthening communities and supporting local services
