Experienced solicitor Alex Harvey joins HCB Widdows Mason to lead newly created General Litigation team
A CARDIFF-BASED law firm has announced the launch of a new General Litigation department, with experienced solicitor Alex Harvey appointed to lead the service.
HCB Widdows Mason confirmed that Mr Harvey has joined the firm this month, taking up the role after leaving CJCH, where he previously served as Head of Litigation.
Bringing more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr Harvey qualified as a solicitor in October 2005 after completing the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff Law School. His career began in Personal Injury and Industrial Disease claims, before he broadened his practice into wider areas of civil litigation around 2011.
His experience includes work in landlord and tenant disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes and contested probate, areas which HCB Widdows Mason says will form the foundation of its new general litigation service.
The firm said the launch of the department represents a significant expansion of its legal services and reflects its continued growth across South Wales.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr Harvey said:
“Having followed the impressive growth of HCB Widdows Mason over recent years, I am delighted to be joining the firm for the next stage of my career. It is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead the new General Litigation department and to help extend our services to even more clients across the region.”
Andrew Barrowclough, Director at HCB Widdows Mason, welcomed the appointment, describing it as an important milestone for the firm.
“On behalf of the whole team, I am very pleased to welcome Alex to the firm. I am exceptionally excited to have Alex as part of our team and I’m looking forward to seeing him in his new department.
“It is another strong addition to the services we can offer, and when I look at how far we have come in the 11 years we have been open, and see the strength and breadth of our legal team today, it is a proud moment for me personally and a true reflection of the hard work and dedication across the firm.”
