‘Bluebirds Uncaged’ supporter channel launched as collaboration looks to the club’s next 125 years
WITH MOMENTUM building on the pitch, Cardiff City FC and Welsh broadband provider Ogi have strengthened their partnership with a new initiative aimed at connecting fans and communities.
The collaboration centres on ‘Bluebirds Uncaged’, a supporter-focused channel designed to celebrate the fans and Welsh communities that have shaped the club’s identity.
As the club looks ahead to its next 125 years, both organisations say the partnership reflects a shared commitment to long-term investment in the people who define Cardiff City – its supporters, staff and the communities across Wales that have backed the Bluebirds for generations.
Martyn Bicknell, commercial partnerships manager at Ogi, said the partnership represents more than a business arrangement.
“This Official Partner status goes beyond technology,” he said. “It’s about backing a passionate regional fanbase, reinvesting in Welsh communities and supporting the connections that help talent develop – on and off the pitch.”
At the club’s training ground in Hensol, in the Vale of Glamorgan, Ogi provides full-fibre connectivity to support the modern demands of professional football.
The high-capacity network allows staff and players to analyse performance data and prepare for matches, while supporting the day-to-day running of training sessions and player development.
Club officials say the benefits extend well beyond the training ground, helping supporters across south Wales stay connected to the club and to each other, both on matchdays and throughout the season.
Adam Pierce, senior partnerships manager at Cardiff City FC, said supporters remain central to the club’s future.
“Our supporters are at the heart of everything we do. Partnerships like this help us invest in the future of the club, on and off the pitch,” he said.
“Ogi’s continued support at our training ground in Hensol and across our supporter channels helps create the right environment for our players, staff and fans.”
The extended agreement will see Ogi featured across the club’s Bluebirds Uncaged supporter channels and at home fixtures through to 2027, with both partners saying the collaboration will also support community engagement, youth development and the wider future of Welsh football.
