STUDENTS and teachers at Ysgol Gymraeg Ystalyfera–Bro Dur and St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Sixth Form Centre in Port Talbot, the two schools in Neath Port Talbot offering post-16 education, are being congratulated for their 2025 achievements. The majority of students attend Grŵp Colegau NPTC Group of Colleges to continue their post-16 education.

Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council, Cllr. Steven Hunt said – “Results day is the culmination of years of dedication from pupils, teachers, and parents and carers.

“Whether going to university or into training or straight into a career, their qualifications help them move on to their next stage, and we wish them every success in the future.”

Congratulating students and school staff, Cllr. Nia Jenkins, Cabinet Member for Education and Early Years added: “Huge congratulations to students on their achievements, spanning a range of vocational, technical and academic qualifications.

“I would also like to recognise and thank senior leaders, exams officers, support staff and teachers for supporting our young people with their studies.

“The sound basis for learning set at Key Stage 4 has enabled more students to continue with their education beyond 16 with purpose, ambition and success.“
