Equipment worth more than £10,000 to support crews at incidents
A SOUTH WALES communications company has donated 12 body-worn video cameras to the Wales Air Ambulance in a gift valued at more than £10,000.
The donation was made by M.R.S. Communications, a company specialising in radio communications, security improvement and crime prevention.
Carl Duarte of M.R.S. Communications visited the Wales Air Ambulance headquarters in Dafen, Llanelli to personally deliver the essential equipment, which will be used by crews responding to medical emergencies and could also prove valuable at major incidents.
Mr Duarte said: “At M.R.S. Communications, we’re proud to support the Wales Air Ambulance Charity and the vital, lifesaving work they do every day.
“By donating body-worn cameras, we hope to provide practical support that enhances safety, transparency and operational insight for their crews. This partnership reflects our commitment to using technology for good and giving back to organisations that make a real difference to communities across Wales.”
The Wales Air Ambulance is a consultant-led service that brings hospital-standard care directly to patients at the scene of an incident, before transferring them to the most appropriate hospital where necessary.

The service operates through a unique partnership between the third sector and the public sector. The Wales Air Ambulance Charity relies on public donations to raise around £13 million each year to keep its helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
Highly skilled NHS consultants and critical care practitioners from the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS) work on board the charity’s vehicles, providing advanced care including anaesthesia, blood transfusions and minor procedures at the scene.
As a pan-Wales service, its crews travel across the country to deliver emergency critical care wherever it is needed.
Nina Rice, Head of Fundraising High Value Partnerships at the Wales Air Ambulance, said the charity was “incredibly grateful” for the donation.
She added: “This generous contribution will directly support the Charity’s lifesaving work, and we’re delighted to receive the support of M.R.S. Communications, a key player in radio communications, security improvement and crime prevention.”
