A 29-YEAR-OLD man from Tredegar has been remanded in custody after appearing before magistrates charged with rape and sexual assault.
Olukanyinsola Odebode, of Gainsborough Road, Cefn Golau, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday (Sept 8). He faces charges of sexually assaulting a female on August 25, and of raping a woman over the age of 16 on September 6.
No plea entered
Odebode gave no plea to the charges during his appearance. Magistrates sent the case to Crown Court for trial, ordering that he be remanded in custody until his next hearing.
The bench was made up of Mrs N Dendle and Mrs H Meade. Gareth Jones of Gomer Davies Solicitors represented the defendant, while Ryan Colamazza appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service.
