Davies praises Vale’s finest ahead of Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show

ANDREW RT DAVIES has praised the organisers, traders, competitors, and attendees of the Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show ahead of its return to Penllyn.

Speaking ahead of the Show, which will be held on tomorrow (August 13), the South Wales Central MS said, “It’s fantastic that every year we take this opportunity to celebrate our thriving rural communities here in the Vale and in the surrounding areas.”

The Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Society was established in 1772, making it on of the oldest on record.

According to the Society, the show regularly attracts over 20,000 people, and is the largest one day event in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Andrew RT Davies MS, Senedd Member for South Wales Central and former Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to Penllyn on Wednesday for the Vale Show.

“I’ve been attending the Show for as long as I can remember, and over the year it’s gone from strength to strength.

“Now, tens of thousands of people attend to try Vale produce, to visit small traders, to look around the hundreds of trade stands and to enjoy the shows and classes.

“It’s fantastic that every year we take this opportunity to celebrate our thriving rural communities here in the Vale and in the surrounding areas.

“While we may be facing challenges thanks to bad decisions made by politicians, our agricultural families continue to produce some of the best food and livestock in the world.

“If you see me on the showground, please come and say hello.”
