FONMON CASTLE, a lived-in medieval fortress in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, will play host to a series of impressive events this Christmas — including VIP Christmas meet-and-greet packages.
Just a stone’s throw from Cardiff Airport, this family attraction is already a haven for visitors throughout the year, boasting a dinosaur park, medieval village, story trail, woodland walks, footgolf and disc golf — and perhaps best known for its epic themed music events.

- Silver Christmas Experience:
Running alongside Fonmon Castle’s already-sold-out VIP offering, the ever-popular Silver Christmas Experience returns from November 22 until December 23 welcoming guests for an evening filled with festive wonder between 5pm and 9pm.
This year’s silver package is bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever — inviting families to wander through twinkling festive gardens, follow the Christmas story trail and meet a host of costumed characters along the way.
Event-goers can also expect live character shows on the castle balcony and in the Dino Dome; dramatic light displays throughout the gardens and woodland; photo opportunities with festive backdrops and characters — plus optional archery and axe throwing for those seeking to add some adrenaline to the festive period (at an additional charge). - Christmas Daytime Experience:
This magical daytime event is perfect for families with young children and those looking to enjoy festive activities in a relaxed, storybook setting. Running on December 06, 07, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 and 23 from 10am until 3pm, the daytime experience includes a free festive stamp trail and immersive Christmas story trail; a chance to meet the Christmas Wizard in the Story Hut, the princess inside the Castle and Bjorn the polar bear in the Medieval Grange.
After a series of meet-and-greets, little ones can pencil their letters to Santa and check the naughty or nice list — before enjoying optional photo opportunities, toasting marshmallows by the fire and enjoying some archery and axe throwing (additional charges apply).
