Llanelli man pleads guilty to attacking officers and causing damage while in police custody
A 25-YEAR-OLD man has admitted assaulting three police officers, using threatening behaviour and causing damage to a custody cell following a disturbance in Llanelli.
Carlo Jones, of Gelli Road, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 12, in connection with an incident that took place the previous day.
The court heard that on January 11, Jones assaulted Officers Phillips, Bowen and Jones while they were carrying out their duties. He also shouted threatening and abusive language towards the officers during the incident.
After being taken into custody, Jones urinated and spat inside a police cell, causing damage to a custody mattress belonging to Dyfed-Powys Police.
Jones pleaded guilty to all offences. He was remanded on conditional bail and will return to court for sentencing on February 3.

His bail conditions include a ban on being intoxicated in a public place and a requirement to reside at his home address in Llanelli.
The case was prosecuted by CPS Wales (South West).
