Motorist banned after drug driving conviction

A 26-YEAR-OLD man from Carmarthenshire has been banned from the road after admitting drug driving.

Jamie Rollins, born in 1999, of Y Bryn, near Maesycrugiau, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Friday (Sept 12).

The court heard that on March 19, 2025, Rollins drove a motor vehicle while over the specified legal limit for a controlled drug.

He entered a guilty plea at the hearing. Prosecutor Simone Walsh appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service.

Magistrates Miss J Phillips and Mr P Casey imposed an obligatory driving disqualification. Rollins was also ordered to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
