Llanelli man accused of four thefts from Marks & Spencer

Food items worth almost £700 allegedly stolen from Trostre retail store over a three-week period

A LLANELLI man is facing multiple theft allegations after appearing before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court in connection with a series of incidents at Marks & Spencer in Trostre.

Robert Pullen, 39, of Lewis Court, Llanelli, is accused of stealing food items from the retailer on four separate occasions during May this year.

According to court records, the alleged offences took place on:

  • May 18, when food items worth £243 were allegedly stolen;
  • May 26, when food items worth £191 were allegedly stolen;
  • A further incident involving food valued at £129.50;
  • Another alleged theft involving food worth £130.

The combined value of the items involved is almost £700.

The case was before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on June 26 and has been adjourned for sentencing and to be dealt with alongside other matters.

Pullen was granted conditional bail and has been banned from entering Trostre Parc as part of his bail conditions. The court also noted that any alleged breaches of bail are to be reserved to a District Judge.

He is due to appear again at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on July 27.

The court register lists the matter for sentence, although details of any pleas entered were not available from the published record. As proceedings remain ongoing, the allegations have not yet been fully determined by the court.
