Man jailed for failing to comply with post-prison supervision

Magistrates told non-compliance was wilful and persistent

A MAN has been jailed after failing to comply with the terms of his post-custodial supervision, Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on Monday (Feb 9).

Lex Henry Littlewood, 59, of no fixed abode, appeared before the court charged with breaching supervision requirements imposed following his release from a period of imprisonment.

The court heard that Mr Littlewood failed to attend planned probation appointments despite being issued with a formal warning on July 23, 2025, a final warning on August 6, 2025, and a breach letter on September 10, 2025.

The matter was proved in absence. Magistrates were told the breaches amounted to wilful and persistent non-compliance and that the defendant’s risk was considered unmanageable in the community.

Mr Littlewood was committed to prison for 14 days. He was also ordered to pay £120 in costs, with a collection order made allowing deductions to be taken from benefits.
