UWTSD Swansea College of Art presents ‘ADNABOD’: MA Contemporary Dialogues exhibition 2025

SWANSEA College of Art at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) is pleased to announce ADNABOD, the 2025 MA Contemporary Dialogues exhibition, being held at Stiwdio Griffith, at the University’s Dynevor Building in the city. Showcasing the work of this year’s postgraduate cohort, the exhibition invites audiences to experience a compelling exploration of identity, memory and the unseen narratives that shape contemporary life.

The title ADNABOD, a Welsh word with no direct English equivalent, encapsulates the layered ideas of knowing, recognising, and identifying. Reflecting this complexity, the exhibition brings together artworks that investigate cultural identity, the persistence of memory, female representation, and mental health. Through diverse creative approaches, the artists reveal new ways of seeing oneself, one another, and the broader world in which we exist.

Visitors can expect a dynamic body of work spanning multiple disciplines, united by a shared commitment to critical enquiry, personal storytelling, and artistic innovation.

Caroline Thraves, Academic Director Art & Media said: “We are incredibly proud to host ADNABOD and to celebrate the creativity and hard work of our MA Contemporary Dialogues students.

“This exhibition showcases their unique perspectives and the powerful ideas they bring to their practice.”

ADNABOD 2025 highlights the culmination of intensive research, collaboration, and artistic development within creative postgraduate study.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
