CARMARTHENSHIRE County Council has launched brand new graduate and apprenticeship opportunities for anyone ready to kickstart their career, gain real world experience and make a difference in their community.

The wide range of roles on offer are perfect for recent university graduates, school/college leavers, or anyone looking to try something new.

Graduate opportunities include:

  • Transport Planner
  • Environmental Enforcement Officer
  • Building Surveyor (Property Stock Condition Team)
  • Project Manager (Property Minor Works Team)
  • Accountant
  • Traffic & Road Safety

Apprenticeship opportunities on offer:

  • Civil Engineering x2
  • Street Works Inspector
  • Traffic Management Technician
  • Procurement Officer (Property Maintenance)
  • Property Maintenance
  • Finance
  • Passenger Transport

In person and online sessions are being held throughout June, where anyone interested can find out more:

  • Wednesday 10 June, 6pm to 7pm held online via Teams
  • Thursday 11 June, 1pm to 6pm at Llanelli Library
  • Monday 15 June, 1pm to 6pm at Carmarthen Library
  • Wednesday 17 Jun, 1pm to 2pm held online via Teams
  • Thursday 18 June, 2pm to 6pm at Ammanford Library

Leader of Carmarthenshire County Council, Cllr Linda Evans, said: “Our graduate and apprenticeship opportunities provide a fantastic career start, with successful applicants able to earn while they learn, with support and guidance provided throughout.

“I would actively encourage anyone interested to come along to an in person or online information session where there will be application support, further information and discussions with previous apprentices and graduates on offer.
