Temporary closure planned on Fforchaman Road for broadband upgrade

A VALLEYS road will close for a few hours for fibre overhead cabling to be installed.

Fforchaman Road, Cwmaman will close from the south-western arm of its roundabout junction with Station Terrace, extending for a distance of approximately 150 metres in a south-westerly direction.

It will be a daytime closure from 9:30am to 3:30pm on Sunday, August 2.

The closure is needed to allow access to telegraph poles in order to provide fibre overhead cabling.

An alternative route is available via Station Terrace, Treneol, Milton Street, Prospect Place, Mountain Road and Fforchaman Road.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians, emergency services and to premises.
