Defendant appears for first hearing at magistrates’ court
PROCEEDINGS were heard at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court relating to an allegation of sexual assault.
Ross Thomson, 26, of Albert Place, Aberystwyth, appeared before magistrates on Wednesday (Feb 4) for a first hearing in connection with an offence alleged to have been committed on November 2, 2024.
The court heard that Thomson is accused of sexual assault on a female, contrary to section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
No plea was entered at this stage.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction and ordered that the case be sent to the Crown Court for trial.
