Drug driver admits offences after being stopped in Ceredigion

Court told man behind the wheel also had amphetamine and failed to give blood sample

POLICE who stopped a car in Ceredigion found the driver in possession of drugs and later refusing to provide a blood sample for analysis.

Adam Zamorowski, 46, of Morfagwyn Flats, New Quay, appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on January 8th, where he admitted a series of motoring and drug‑related offences.

The court heard that on May 11th, 2025, Zamorowski was stopped on the A487 at Llanarth and found with 1.7 grams of amphetamine. He was again stopped on August 16th, when he failed to give a blood sample after being suspected of driving while under the influence of drugs.

Magistrates imposed an interim driving disqualification and adjourned sentencing until January 29th to allow for a pre‑sentence report to be prepared.
